4.25.10 (116/365)

Prescription for J's rash, he's starting to feel and look a lot better!

4.24.10 (115/365)

He has a rash, and is teething 3 molars...
he is not a happy baby even though the picture says differently.

4.23.10 (114/365)

4.22.10 (113/365)

He is now playing with blocks that She enjoyed seven years earlier.

4.21.10 (112/365)

He loves to laugh
I love to make him

4.20.10 (111/365)

A picture of my knees, yes.. but taken with out new camera! :)

4.19.10 (110/365)

So so funny.. J was throwing whole slices of bread to the ducks and H was laughing her head off.

4.18.10 (109/365)

I got this little bin of pre-cut triangles from a garage sale for .50$ Going to make some buntings out of it.

4.17.10 (108/365)

Some plant-love for our bathroom.
(Thanks, Walmart!)

4.16.10 (107/365)

Driving home from grandpa and grandmas, in pj's, showing how flexible he can be.

4.15.10 (106/365)

On the 14th a baby was born
On the 15th I got to visit said baby
And fell in love with him!
Congrats to T and B!

4.14.10 (105/365)

My baby.

4.13.10 (104/365)

Our backyard gives us presents. One of my favorite is the Trilliums.

4.12.10 (103/365)

An awful picture quality wise, but it speaks words to me-- my hubs is a great dad to both is son and his daughter. Evidence? He does her hair. (and it even looks good!)

4.11.10 (102/365)

A walks' most major annoyance: A stone in your boot!

4.10.10 (101/365)

She's a natural, he's working on it.

4.9.10 (100/365)

J's first fry-- He's in love!

4.8.10 (99/365)

The last day of our time in Chicago included another brought-from-home breakfast, pool swimming for h and hubs, and Lincoln Park Zoo (free admission, and found free parking!) It is such a great zoo/plant conservatory and I could not believe it is free. We headed out of Chicago around 1p and hit up Jimmy John's on our way home, I was so anxious to see J!

4.7.10 (98/365)

wake up
hub and h to the pool, i read
get ready for the day
eat breakfast-brought-from-home
head to the jewel cosco for bus passes
eat lunch at portillos after stopping in at rainforest cafe
(kids eat free after 5p, we'll be back for dinner!)
get on the bus after a (short) wait in the (sprinkling) rain
ride bus to shedd aquarium (longer ride than we thought it would be)
stand in a huge line for 45 minutes
it starts to rain
the line stops moving
i go check to see why
it's so full and they are not letting more people in till others leave
we let h decide what we will do
she wants to leave
we leave.
(after waiting for the next bus for about 1/2 hour in the cold/rain)
ride bus to hotel
sleep/watch tv
go to dinner at rainforest cafe
j and i split a meal, h gets alfredo
we order the Volcano! dessert
it is huge
a waitress breaks a wine glass next to h
there are shards of glass under our table even after they clean up
we thought maybe we'd get a discounted meal
(no such luck)
we head to a movie
h picks
The Diary of a Wimpy Kid
cute movie
may have covered her eyes during said movie
when a magazine was pulled from older brothers bed with a bikini lady on front
(it was my mom instinct.. i didn't know what to expect!)
movie was (mostly) cute
walked back to the hotel
h is dead tired
normal bedtime 8p for h
back to hotel and in bed by 10:30p
she crashes
we watch tv.

4.6.10 (97/365)

The first day in Chicago included The Cheesecake Factory, American Girl Store, Chipotle, Navy Pier, and the ferris wheel on Navy Pier.

4.5.10 (96/365)

All packed and ready to leave for Chicago for H's spring break. We left J home with a grandma and had a great time.

4.4.10 (95/365)

After hunting for Easter basket items, we got ready for church. We then met with some aunties and an uncle for lunch-- it was our first Easter hosting lunch, and my first Easter without a set of parents.

4.3.10 (94/365)

Potatoes cut up in preparation for Easter mashed potatoes.

4.2.10 (93/365)

We love any excuse for crafting and celebrating, so on the first day of H's spring break, we decided to color Easter Eggs. We waited till J was taking his morning nap, and had a great time turning our boring white eggs into colorful eggs.

4.1.10 (92/365)

See thegreen mug on the right? I got it at World Market for the hubs. I love green, and thought he would, too. I gave it to him under the guise of an early Easter present-- we normally don't exchange gifts for Easter, but I loved the mug and he has been wanting another travel mug. I got it home and asked him if he liked it. "Yeah, I do." I could tell he liked it but that he wasn't thrilled with the color so I offered to exchange it. He declined.
I got home the next day, and he told me that he had a present for me! I opened up the World Market plastic bag, and there was a black coffee travel mug. He looked and me and commented, "If you don't like the color, we can switch." :)

3.31.10 (91/365)

Today I hit up one of my favorite towns-- the town I went to college in, have gone on many dates in, and have explored with my kids. My mission: to help my pregnant friend with some stuff around her house only days before she is due to have her babes. When I got to her house, she had been in full nesting mode, so that left me with nothing to do! We hit up a few stores instead and it was such a beautiful warm day.

3.30.10 (90/365)

I have been looking for something to cover the top of a little stand we have in our bathroom but haven't been able to find anything. I finally found the perfect thing-- a dishtowel from World Market! I cut it down and sewed up the edges and voila, something new for the bathroom.

3.29.10 (89/365)

We Love these (blurry) little cheeses!

3.28.10 (88/365)

Church Bulletin

3.27.10 (87/365)

When we play Go-fish, H has a hard time keeping track of her cards, so tonight she made this lovely pillow barrier so I would not be tempted to peek at her pile of cards splayed out on the couch.

3.26.10 (86/365)

Tonight was family fun night at H's school. Pizza, popcorn, cupcakes, pop, games, tickets, tokens, and crowds! We had a great time. J's favorite part was a Cubs flag he won at a duck pond, and H's favorite part was probably the cupcakes

3.25.10 (85/365)

Ringing the bell that is in the kitchen at Grandpa and Grandmas.

3.24.10 (84/365)

My alarm clock is constantly being taken from my nightstand. J loves to push the buttons on it. It looks like he is trying to play a video game when he does this. He also loves to pull the battery out and hide it.

3.23.10 (83/365)

Today was pajama day at school-- when H got home it was a bit chilly but she didn't want her coat-- she wanted her red poncho type sweater. it looks lovely with the aqua blue and rollerblades, don't you think?

3.22.10 (82/365)

a craft project for easter gone wrong. worse, baby j got into the eggs after we were done, getting glitter all over the house.
