The hubs recently decided with our brother-in-law to take H and and her cousin to a daddy/daughter dance. We made all the preparations, I bought H some new earrings, lined up an outfit, did her hair fancy. The hub bought her a corsage and made dinner plans. It was literally all she would talk about for about two weeks prior to the event. Then the night came and she looked incredibly beautiful and as I was doing her hair, I was dreaming of the day I might be doing her hair for a middle school or high school dance and where she would be escorted by a teenage boy, and not her loving daddy. (I just decided to block that part out and pretend she was going with a group of girlfriends!) I can't believe she is so grown up... can't believe how excited she got over her "dangly!" earrings, and just can't believe how good we have it right now.
