The hub has most Wednesdays free all day. My mom called and asked if we wanted her to come over to watch J while we went on a date. Trying to be financially smart, I called the hubs and said, "well... what would we do? we don't have money for much right now!" He thought of the perfect date. Every spring, we head out to the pier on a sunny day when the ice is starting to melt. We bundled up (it is a lot colder on the pier than it is on land) and headed out. It was such a gorgeous day-- we first hit the pier and it was as beautiful as always. Next we headed to get some Starbucks with Christmas giftcards, and then finally we stopped by a local thrift store and browsed around. It was such a fun day and we enjoyed eachother so much! I looked over at him in the car at one point and said, "It's like we don't have kids!" but then of course I missed them about 5 minutes later.
