Dear E,
This month you turned 6 months old! You are getting bigger and stronger every day and seem more grown up to me. Here are some stats on you!
*At your doctors appointment, you weighed 19lbs, 2oz and were 26 ½ inches long. That is 75% for weight, 50% for height. (You used to be in the 95% for weight and 25% for height, so you are even-ing out a little bit!
*You ate your first food—bananas—five days before you turned 6 months. You ate it and acted like you had always been eating. You are only eating bananas at this point and today when I gave you avocado you gagged on it so much you threw up!
*You sleep well most nights… from around 8p till 7 or 8a and then still 2 or 3 naps a day. You are still in the bassinette next to our bed, but you love to sleep next to me—the closer the better! (for you at least ;))
*Mama started a part time job and is gone 3 nights a week for 6-7 hours a time. I think it’s good for you to bond with Daddy, but I do miss you, and I think/know you miss me, too! You think bottles are strange according to Grandma A ;) and don’t love them, but you do tolerate them.
*Size 3 diaper, 3 shoe, and size 9month clothes.
*You are almost sitting up without falling over. You can sit, but if you try to look behind/to the side, you fall over.
*You roll, but not a lot. You do, however, scootch backward all over the living room. If I put you down in one place, I will come back to you in another.
*You don’t really like your jumper gym toy any longer. You do like to sit in the boppy pillow with toys all around you. You play great with toys—picking them up and looking at them and chewing all over them!
*You have 4 teeth (as of October 29th… so that is in the 7th month but I thought I’d include it since I’m late in writing this letter.)
*You love J and H and they can get you to laugh easily.. well, pretty much anyone can!
*You grab hold of my ears/hair and pull me towards you and open your mouth to try to eat/kiss me. It is hilarious and sometimes painful!
We love you so much little Bo-bo! Love, Mama
